to wash your helmets from time to time...and I dont mean the outside. I just took out the liner from mine...good lord, how did I deal with that for so long?!?!?!? couple of scrubbing sessions with some head and shoulders (if it works for my hair, it should work for the things getting the same grease and shit all over them) and now i’m leaving them out to dry. Smells SOOOOOOO much nicer.

Also, my new brake reservior is on its way. huzzah!

Kinja'd!!!

I got the red one to match the black and red bike :D

Just get a car, so you don’t have to wash your helmet. ;)

Thank you for ensuring that I notice the smell the whole way home today. But yeah, my helmet is definitely due.

Is the Corolla there to offset the driving karma?

corolla belong to my neighbors. We have a blacked out 08 Lexus IS250 AWD (moms) and a grey (with tinted lights) Audi A3 TDI (dads) . Not quite a jalop family, but far from the beigest either.

oh, not to mention dads BMW motorcycle.

For the most part you could just spray this through summer or make your own with vinegar. I quit smoking but sometimes slip up while drinking and this is a godsend if your clothes smell bad - I swear by it. I use it on my cycling clothes/helmet etc if I have a race weekend with no chance to wash my kit.

Ok, I do not ride motorcycles, so forgive my naivete: But, why do so many new(ish) bikes have the break reservoir up on the handlebars? I see this all the time. Is that purely for looks, or does it need to be there for some mechanical purpose?

ALL bikes with hydraulic front brakes have them there... doesnt matter is built today, tmw, or 70 years ago.

remember, motorcycles have a separate front and rear braking systems. the front master cylinder is under our right hand. so we need the fluid mounted above that right? in the same way the reservoir for the fluid in your car is above the Master Cylinder in your car.

no problem. bike also have a second one for the rear brakes. (usually somewhere near the back brake pedal or under the seat. [right foot/leg area])

and if you see a bike with TWO of them on the handle bars (one left, one right) the left one is for the clutch (some bike have hydraulic clutchs. a lot have cable clutches) and the one on the right is for the brake.

Yea, you do still have to really wash it sometimes but hook this right next to your helmet and give it a spray every couple days :)
